The "Innovative Capsule Technology for Producing High-performance Lightweight Cellular Concrete" developed by Hip Hing and the Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Limited (NAMI) won the Second Prize of Construction Sustainability category in the CIC Construction Innovation Award 2017. Mr TC Chu, Managing Director of Hip Hing, and Mr Derek So, Executive Director of Hip Hing and the representatives of NAMI received the honor at the award ceremony on 15 December.
The innovative capsule technology enables the next generation of green building materials with superior mechanical and environmentally sustainable properties. The technology has also won the gold medal at the 45th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva.
