Carbon offset strategy

As global warming and climate change continue, the need to take action to reduce and offset greenhouse gas emissions becomes ever more urgent. Consequently, Hip Hing Construction Group considers delivering solutions to reduce CO₂ emissions is a part of our social responsibility to preserve the planet. Recently, Hip Hing Construction Group has made the move to participate in Shell’s CO₂ Offset Programme, with more than 100 vehicles involved.

About the CO₂ Offset Programme

We have joined Shell’s Nature Based Solutions (NBS) projects, and for every liter of Shell petrol or diesel we use in our vehicles, trees will be planted to conserve the environment, offset our CO₂ emissions and achieve carbon neutral operations.

Sharing the same vision to drive sustainability, Hip Hing Construction Group and Shell have forged a strong partnership for 15 years. Apart from the CO₂ Offset Programme, Hip Hing Construction Group was among the first batch of Hong Kong contractors to use Shell’s B5 Biodiesel, the renewable energy source.
