A significant milestone in the expansion of the LegCo Complex was achieved on 3 October 2023, when the project’s first MiC module was lifted into position. It is thought this is the first occasion MiC has been used in a multi-storey office building in Hong Kong.
Mr. Andrew Leung, President of the Legislative Council, members of the Legislative Council Commission, together with Mr. Edward Tse, Director of Architectural Services; Ms. Eva Yam, Deputy Director of Administration, Mr. Joseph Lo, Acting Head of Project Strategy and Governance of the Development Bureau, Mr. TC Chu, Managing Director of Hip Hing Construction, and Mr. Kenneth Ma, Deputy Managing Director of Hip Hing Construction witnessed the moment, as the first MiC module was installed atop the building structure.
