Hip Hing awarded multiple residential projects

Hip Hing has been awarded five residential projects in the first half of 2015, which will contribute 2,667 residential units to Hong Kong’s housing stock upon completion.

Jointly developed by New World Development and Vanke Property (Hong Kong), the West Rail Tsuen Wan West Station TW6 Property Development Project includes the construction of one 48 and one 45-storey residential towers atop a two-storey basement carpark and a three-storey podium with clubhouse. The two towers will provide 983 units in total. The project also includes the construction of a five-storey high public sport centre which houses a 1,900-seat multi-purpose games arena. The project with a contract sum of HK$2.95 billion is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2018.

The HK$729 million Public Rental Housing Development at Ex-Kwai Chung Police Married Quarters includes the construction of two 23 to 24 storey non-standard domestic blocks providing 866 public rental housing flats, a three- storey podium and a one-storey driving test centre together with associated slope works. The project, for the Hong Kong Housing Authority, will be completed by the third quarter of 2017.

Hip Hing will also undertake three residential projects for Wheelock Properties. For the residential project in Tseung Kwan O Town Lot 112, Hip Hing will construct five two-storey houses, two nine-storey residential towers, two 21-storey residential towers with a two-storey commercial podium and club house and a one-storey basement car park. The project with a total value of HK$2.16 billion is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2017.

Two other Wheelock projects on Hong Kong Island are located at 11 Plantation Road and 77 Peak Road. The two projects comprise 15 blocks of two to four-storey villas with swimming pools, carparks and clubhouses. The residential development at 11 Plantation Road will be completed in the first quarter of 2016 and 77 Peak Road in the fourth quarter of the same year.
