Construction Manager of the Year Awards 2010 Presentation
The CIOB (HK) Construction Manager of the Year Awards (CMYA) 2010 Presentation was held at the Hotel Nikko Hong Kong on 9 September. Mr. Eric Lau Kai-ming, Acting Contracts Manager of Hip Hing Construction, won the Gold Award of CMYA 2010 for the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) Atrium Link Expansion project, and received the trophy from the Guest-of-Honour Mrs Carrie Lam, GBS, JP, Secretary for Development of HKSAR Government.
Gold Awardee Mr. Eric Lau Kai-ming led the project team to overcome numerous challenges of expanding the existing HKCEC Atrium Link above the sea while taking into account safety and environmental concerns. He also ensured that international conventions and exhibitions held in the premier exhibition venue would not be affected by the project, showing outstanding leadership, coordination and planning qualities.
The CMYA organised by CIOB (HK) is a biennial award that recognizes and commends the winner’s distinguished achievement and professional skills in the accomplishment of their responsible projects.
