Shatin, New Territories, Hong Kong
Previous Project Next Project

The principal element of the works was the construction of a retractable roof over a new parade ring. The steel retractable roof was constructed using fabric membrane and aluminum claddings and is the first large-scale retractable roof structure built in Hong Kong. The project also comprised the construction of a temporary parade ring and saddling booths, A&A works to the existing racing centre and a new parade ring which included extensions to the viewing balconies, construction of new spectator seating areas, new saddling booths, an owner's pavilion and E&M and operations control rooms. The project was completed in a short period of time without disrupting any ongoing racing activities.
