InterContinental Hong Kong

18 South Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Previous Project Next Project

The InterContinental Hong Kong (formerly The Regent Hotel) sits right on the edge of Victoria Harbour, and was the first high-rise building constructed over the sea. The caisson foundation system adopted consisted of the sinking of about 200 sea caissons into the bedrock beneath the seabed and the construction of a mat foundation over them. The project comprises the construction of a 16-storey deluxe hotel complex, rising in steps to create a flowered terrace on each level and providing 495 contemporary guest rooms.
