Transport Department's Vehicle Examination Centre in Tsing Yi

Located at Sai Tso Wan in Tsing Yi, the Transport Department's Vehicle Examination Centre (VEC) comprises a 3-storey inspection hall and 7-storey office tower. The facility provides 30 inspection lanes for different kinds of vehicles, while the daily handling capacity can reach 1,000 vehicle inspections.

VEC realised the concept of “Design for End-users” to provide a safe and comfortable working environment for staff. In addition, with the implementation of DfMA, the project reduced by 40% the on-site construction time of the HVAC and Electrical Systems. MiC was utilised for the construction of the security booths in the examination hall.
