AIA Central

Built on the site of the Furama Hotel, the 37-storey AIA Central is a Grade A office tower which includes two levels of underground parking and a public footbridge that connects to Chater Road. Located in Central district, adjacent to busy roads and buildings, the construction of the tower presented a number of challenges, including the demolition of the existing ground floor slab, basement structure and foundations, foundations and superstructure for the new building all of which had to comply with stringent environmental requirements on noise, air and vibration.
