Job Duties

• Handling employees’ compensation claims, from information collection, completion of statutory forms and subsequent follow up
• Undertaking initial review and evaluation of claims and claims documents, verifying coverage and ensuring compliance of insurance policies
• Communicating and liaising with project team (and where appropriate, with sub-contractor and injured worker), brokers, insurers, health care service providers, etc
• Early detection of problematic claims and propose solution
• Assist in preparing management reports and statistics
• Assist in ad-hoc tasks as assigned
• Ensure all claims are processed effectively

Requirements

• Post-secondary education with minimum 5 years’ experience in construction EC claims handling; or
• Possess a Diploma or Degree or professional insurance qualifications in ANZII or ACII or equivalent professional qualifications with minimum 3 years of claims handling experience
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Self-initiative, capable to work independently and under pressure
• Attention to details and quality
• Able to work as team player and collaborate with all departments.
• Proficient in written/spoken English and Chinese.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
