The ground breaking ceremony for the construction of Public Rental Housing Development at Chung Nga East in Tai Po was held on 23 February. Representatives from Hip Hing, Vibro and Hong Kong Housing Authority attended the ceremony to witness this significant milestone in the development of the project.
In this project, Hip Hing and Vibro are responsible for the superstructure construction and foundation works respectively. It is expected that the foundation works, which comprise the construction of 21 nos. 2.8m dia. bored pile, 119 nos. 305 x 305 x 223kg/m socketed H-pile, pile caps and ELS, will be completed in the third quarter of 2018. After the handover, Hip Hing will then construct a 32-storey non-standard domestic block with one 1-storey carpark and retail facilities at LG/F, and also a 6-storey welfare block at the site. The project is target to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2020.
