Hip Hing's Apprentice Foreman crowned as a rising star

Apple Chan, Apprentice (Foreman) of Hip Hing, was previously nominated by the Company to participate in the Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP) organised by the Labour Department and has recently been successfully selected as one of the "Most Improved Trainees of YETP 2018".

It has only been a year since Apple joined Hip Hing and her passion for her work and her desire to learn has gained her much praise from her colleagues. "I only knew a little about site operations when I first joined the Company. I appreciate the professional knowledge and experience shared by my colleagues and I am so glad to have learnt much from them," said Apple. Woody Wong, Senior Site Agent, was impressed by her proactive learning attitude, "Apple is eager to learn and strives for improvement. She is a quick learner and able to integrate what she has learnt in various working conditions."

Apple is currently attached to the Xiqu Centre project accumulating more practical experience. To better equip herself for future challenges, she is now studying a Higher Diploma in Construction Studies at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education. Apple also plans to obtain a bachelor's degree afterwards and strives hard to accomplish her goal which is to become a site agent.
