Hip Hing wins Silver Award for Excellence in Training and Development

On 3 Oct 2012, Hip Hing Construction won the Silver Award in the Development Category of the Awards for Excellence in Training and Development 2012 organised by Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA).

The prestigious award was given in recognition of Hip Hing’s Project Manager Development Programme (PMDP). The PMDP is a holistic people development programme that builds and develops the capabilities and competences of future project managers. The programme aims to ensure the Company has a sustainable project leadership pipeline and to provide a clear career development roadmap to high potentials. The adjudicators commented positively that the programme satisfies the objectives from both learning and business perspectives.

Delivering on its mission to provide rewarding careers and personal development opportunities to its staff, Hip Hing's PMDP nurtures project managers through one-on-one coaching, on-the-job training and formal skills training classes or workshops. Individually tailored development plans and activities stretch the PMDP fellows, help them acquire the essential attributes and reach their career goals as Project Managers.

Hip Hing's people development strategy also includes a Site Agent Development Programme (SADP), a Construction Officer (Management Trainee) Development Programme (CODP), the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) Scheme 'A' Training Programme, and a Foreman Apprenticeship Programme.
