Hip Hing Construction garners 10 Years Caring Company Logo
In recognition of our long-standing contribution to society, care for employees and efforts in taking green initiatives, Hip Hing Construction was awarded the 10 Years Caring Company Logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service on 3 May 2012 in HKCEC. Vibro (H.K) and Vibro Construction, members of the Hip Hing Construction Group (“Hip Hing” or “the Group”), were both awarded the Caring Company Logo for the fourth year in a row.
With an unwavering commitment to deliver love and care to the unprivileged, elderly people and children of low-income families, the Hip Hing/ Vibro Volunteer Team has long been co-organising wide-ranging voluntary services with the YWCA and the Hans Andersen Club. Over the past ten years, a brigade of our altruistic volunteers donated 8117 hours of voluntary services in keeping with the Group’s mission to give back to the community.
Hip Hing shows constant consideration for employees’ career development and well-being. We have launched a series of talent development programmes to assist staff to tap into their strengths and reach their potential. We also organise various recreational and sports activities to add color to employees’ life. Besides, Hip Hing offers paternity leave, study leave and birthday leave on top of statutory leave entitlement to encourage work-life balance.
Hip Hing spares no effort in supporting environmental protection and has been implementing an effective environmental management system in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard since 2002. We are committed to integrating waste reduction and energy conservation policies into our daily operations. For example, we use LED and T5 lighting tubes in our offices; donate residual construction material to charities or educational institutions; make good use of precast products for construction projects to reduce waste; and deploy automatic compost machines at construction sites to transform food waste into organic compost.
Scooping the accolade for the 10th consecutive year, Hip Hing Construction will continue to uphold the spirit of corporate citizenship and contribute to the betterment of the society.
