Hip Hing Construction hosted a hugely successful 50th Anniversary Dinner at the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 15 December. Over 1500 honorable guests and Hip Hing Group members celebrated the Company’s golden jubilee and enjoyed a memorable night.

The night began with a spirited Chinese drum performance by managerial staff which boosted the festive atmosphere. An opening ceremony with firework display was jointly officiated by Deputy Chairman of NWS William Doo, General Manager of NWD Mr. Gary Chen, Executive Director of NWS Mr. Tsang Yam Pui and the Executive Directors of Hip Hing Construction. The spectacular firework display culminated with a shimmering “50th” icon commemorating the number of years since the founding of Hip Hing Construction.

Managing Director Mr. Chu Tat-chi expressed in his welcoming speech his sincere gratitude to all of the Hip Hing staff who have supported the Company over the past years. Mr. Chu said he has full confidence that Hip Hing can overcome future challenges and stand out in keen competitions ahead.

In recognition of the ongoing commitment and professionalism of our staff, Hip Hing presented Long Service Awards to 643 colleagues who have been working for the Company for 10 years or more. Seven staff each with more than 40-years of service were also invited to share their fond memories of and feelings towards the Company on the stage.

Mr. Chu, the honorable guests and the board of directors and top management of Hip Hing Construction proposed a toast to the Company and its staff. In addition to a sumptuous banquet, the anniversary dinner also featured games, a series of singing performances and talent extravaganza and a lucky draw. The evening ended in laughter and joy and all guests enjoyed a fun-filled night of entertainment.

Reaching the end of the 50th Anniversary celebration, Hip Hing is poised to embrace a bright new chapter and will endeavor to fulfill its vision ‘To be the contractor you trust’.
