Award presentation ceremony of the Construction Industry Safety Award Scheme was held on 22 March at the Wan Chai Southern Stadium. Hip Hing Construction was granted Building Sites category (Public Sector) Gold Award, Building Sites (Private Sector) Silver and Bronze Awards, Decoration and Maintenance Merit Award and several Merit Awards for safety teams of different sites. The company’s outstanding performance and contribution in promoting occupational safety and health have been well proven by these grand awards.

The Construction Industry Safety Scheme is jointly held by the Environment, Transport and Works Bureau; the Hong Kong Housing Authority; the Occupational Safety and Health Council; the Construction Industry Training Authority; the Occupational Deafness Compensation Board; the Hong Kong Construction Association; and the Hong Kong General Building Contractors Association etc. It aims to recognise and honor contractors, site staffs and workers with outstanding occupational safety and health performance.

Hip Hing Construction staged a game stall at the Fun Day of the Award Scheme to promote occupational safety and health. The stall enjoyed great popularity in the carnival.
