Mr. Patrick Lam Wai-hon and Director of Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd. Mr. Dam Keswick.

Government officials and LegCo members gathered at the ceremony that marks a significant milestone for Tamar Development Project. Managing Director Mr. Chu Tat-chi, Director Mr. Allan Chan Sau Kit, General Manager (Contracts) Barry Sin Wing-ning, and project team representatives of Hip Hing Construction also witnessed the event.

The spectacular new government headquarters with arch design attracted extensive attention from the honorable guests. Next to the new government headquarters is the new Legislative Council complex. The arch-shaped building is a reminder for the government to be always open-minded, proactive and receptive to public opinions, Chief Executive Mr. Donald Tsang emphasized.

The Tamar Development Project not only serves the government, it also allows the general public to enjoy themselves at the 20000 sq. m. green open space with extensive lawn. Such a distinctive landscape will definitely re-shape the waterfront of the Central district. The project is expected to be completed by the middle of this year and to be opened to public at the end of this year.
