CLP Lam Tei Substation

CLP Lam Tei Substation in Tuen Mun is located under high voltage overhead power lines. To maintain a safe distance of at least 7 meters from the power lines, Hip Hing’s project team installed a detection and alarm system comprising 42 infrared sensors on top of the hoardings at the site boundaries. Anything exceeding the height limit would trigger the alarm. This system helped to preventing machines or construction materials getting too close to the high voltage overhead power lines, thus ensuring site safety.
